+ Broomfield Proposed Charter Amendments

  • Proposed Charter Amendment No. 1A (General Update):
    YES - This is basic cleanup to city charter changing language to City and County vs Municipality

  • Proposed Charter Amendment No. 1B (Council Qualifications):
    YES - Would prohibit elected officials from holding more than one office

  • Proposed Charter Amendment No. 1C (Elected Official Vacancy Provision): 
    NO - Would remove ability to have a special election in case of a vacancy. Allows council to choose replacement not voters

  • Proposed Charter Amendment No. 1D (Local Code of Ethics): 
    NEUTRAL - Establishes a code of ethics governing disclosure of conflicts of interest

  • Proposed Charter Amendment No. 1E (Emergency Ordinances): 
    NO - Would remove current 8 day waiting period for Emergency Ordinances.
